Tiffany Harding
Tiffany Harding’s primary duties are to teach various levels of American Sign Language (ASL) as well as Interpreting process models. As Program Chair, she oversees curriculum content and alignment. Tiffany works to maintain positive community relationships with stakeholders of interpreting services to ensure students have opportunities to engage in live interpreting scenarios.
Tiffany believes that student growth is directly related to the effort they invest in their learning. While she strives to provide engaging, equitable, and supportive instruction, she also maintains the conviction that progress is tied to persistence, curiosity, and active participation. Tiffany’s role as an educator is not only to deliver content, but to challenge students to take ownership of their learning journey.
Tiffany’s teaching approach capitalizes on integration of critical thinking and reflective practice. She designs lessons that require students to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information rather than passively receive it. By encouraging inquiry and dialogue, she helps students develop the ability to question assumptions, form reasoned arguments, and approach problems from multiple perspectives. These approaches are then applied to self-assessments, peer feedback, and class discussions. This reflective component enables them to make connections between effort and outcome, develop metacognitive skills, and set intentional goals for improvement.
